Premium Scratch-Resistant Fabric Care
Our scratch-resistant fabric is designed with a high-density weave and a specially treated surface, making it difficult for claws to latch onto. This reduces the temptation for pets to scratch and helps keep your sofa looking pristine.
Compared to traditional leather or fabric sofas, our scratch-resistant material is highly durable, resistant to pilling, and easy to clean. It's the perfect choice for pet owners, families with children, and even commercial spaces like hotels and lounges.
Worried about maintaining your sofa? Follow these simple care tips to keep it in top condition.
1. Important Usage Notes & Things to Avoid
To keep your sofa in the best condition, follow these key guidelines:
✔ Handle Sticky Substances Carefully – If food, milk, or adhesives dry on the fabric, do not scrape them off directly. Instead, soften the residue with water before gently removing it to avoid fabric damage.
✔ Pet-Friendly, but Not Indestructible – The fabric is highly durable (around 50,000 Martindale rubs) and reduces pet claw damage, but it is not claw-proof. Regularly trim pet nails and provide scratching posts to minimize wear.
✔ Regular Cleaning is Key – Wipe the surface with a damp cloth, use a soft brush or lint roller for dust and pet hair, and avoid letting stains set.
❌ Avoid Sharp Objects – Claws, scissors, or sharp tools may puncture or scratch the fabric.
❌ No Harsh Chemicals – Do not use bleach, fabric softeners, strong solvents, or alcohol-based cleaners. Stick to mild detergents only.
❌ Limit Sun & Heat Exposure – Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or high heat drying can fade or damage the fabric.
2. Daily Cleaning & Maintenance
✔ Use a soft brush or lint roller to remove pet hair regularly.
✔ Avoid harsh chemical cleaners that may damage the fabric.
✔ If spills occur, gently dab with a damp cloth—do not rub aggressively.
3. Long-Term Care Tips
🧼 Immediate Cleaning: Wipe away dirt or stains as soon as they appear using a clean, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
🌀 Routine Maintenance: Clean your sofa regularly with a damp cloth to keep it fresh.
⚠️ Protect from Sharp Objects: Avoid sharp items that may scratch or puncture the fabric.
4. Restoring Wrinkles & Creases
Like other high-end flocked fabrics, minor creases or shading variations may appear after prolonged compression. These can be easily restored:
- Natural Expansion: Simply wait—your compression sofa will expand on its own. It typically takes up to 48 hours to fully regain its shape. Once fully expanded, the foam will settle, and most wrinkles will fade naturally.
- Steam Ironing: Set an iron to medium-low heat and use the steam function to smooth out wrinkles. Iron from the back side of the fabric for best results.
- Front-Side Ironing: If ironing from the front, place a cotton cloth over the fabric before ironing and gently lift fibers with a soft brush.
- Steam Treatment: Alternatively, use a steam iron 1–2 cm away from the surface without direct contact to release creases.
By following these simple care steps, your Aspire Artworks sofa will remain stylish, comfortable, and pet-friendly for years to come.
